CBZ Forge
CBZ Forge Changelog
CBZ Forge requires macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.
1.0.0 — Coming soon
First release of CBZ Forge.
Added
- Lossless First, AI Cleanup, and AI + 2× per-book processing controls, with a conversion-faithful comparison window.
- PDF, CBZ, CBR/RAR, and recursive-folder queue input, including a synthetic sample comic for review and demos. CBR is read through a pinned, static, reader-only libarchive; encrypted, split, and malformed archives are refused rather than guessed at.
- In-app acknowledgements for the bundled Real-CUGAN model.
Changed
- Refined the native macOS interface, compact-window sizing, detail hierarchy, drag target, accessibility descriptions, and user-facing conversion copy.
- Folder grants now target and persist the exact required output directory.
- The queue row now carries a compact verdict with the full text on hover, and the detail pane explains each book as verdict, then what it is, then what happened to it. Column widths and visibility persist across launches.
- Developer ID release tooling produces a notarized local artifact without publishing to an unselected distribution channel.
Fixed
- Closed false-lossless cases involving annotation appearances, page rotation, non-identity graphics state, masks, optional content, painted overlays, and unsafe colour spaces.
- Hardened CBZ parsing and dimensions, output collision handling, cancellation, stale folder walks and write probes, and sandbox preflight behaviour.
- Prevented skipped outputs and CBZ repackages from claiming work that did not occur.
